Today we played at home to Boscombe Albion. The boys lined up to pay there respects for all those effected by the wars past and present. The silence was held with grate dignity.
Boscombe fielded a team of 7. Although they sit 14th in the table they seem to have the ability to score goals having scored in all matches accept one.
We started the game positivly pressing the Boscombe defence. Boscombe found some space to play and whilst we had a number of early chances it took us 7 minutes to open the scoring. A through ball from Liam H and nicely put away by Jaden.
Boscombe had a good phase when our midfield lost shape and allowed them space to play. They managed to score on 13 minutes with good link up play out of defence
After a few changes in our midfield we managed to get our shape back and score on the close of the first half. Jaden this time playing in Sam for a goal
The second half started Tom on for Jaden and Trigger on for Josh. Our midfield looked more solid now and 2 minutes into the half we won a free kick. Louis scored directly from the free kick with a lovely flighted ball.
Tom won a penalty shortly after and took the shot narrowly missing. Well done to the Boscombe Keeper for an excellent save.
On 31 minutes we won another free kick and Sam Hepburn scored from distance to make it 4-1
Our final score came 5 minutes from the end when Jaden again played in Sam Hepburn to make it 5-1
In summary for us some positives to take away as well as a few areas to focus on in our training.
Boscombe should take some positives away in that at times they played some fantastic football passing around our midfield and getting into the danger zone. The Boscombe Keeper also had a good game. All the best to you for the rest of the season.
